The rains came today to wash away all of our beautiful, downy snow. Before it got too far, I just had to get out and capture a few parting shots..

On the first day of the storm my girlfriends and I ski toured through the Washington Park Arboretum.
It was so nice to silently glide along these trails usually filled with pedestrians.
The Broadmoor golf course looked ethereal submerged in white.
We finished the with a little apres ski drink at Starbucks. Definitely the first time I’ve worn ski boots there.
What amazing images…such a beautiful snow. We still haven't had a drop in NC – an unseasonably warm Winter. Hope you're having a great weekend!

Emily, How wonderful to ski across to Starbucks! My daughter was following her Tacoma friends on Facebook and was so bummed to be missing a snow day (or 3-4) and sledding with friends!
Here she is "stuck" in never-a-snow-day-land (So.Cal).

Beautiful Emily!! We have a fair amount of now here right now as well but considering it's going to be 50 today, I would imagine it's going to disappear fairly quickly!
Thank you DC, it was a nice mellow week, I really didn't need to be anywhere, so I could just relax and enjoy what mother nature had to offer!
