I hope you don’t mind, but I must take a quick break away from the tour de Espana. I have a couple more things, European in persuasion, to share with you. But as I think about artistic courage, I want write about an event in my neighborhood which I love, the Madison Park Art Walk.
There is an opening reception Friday, September 9, from 6 ~ 9 at our local Starbucks, to find out why it is so famous click on New York Times article. At the reception, there will be a program of all of the art you can see as you walk. Also, refreshments will be served {they serve wine at our Starbucks, you’ll read about that in the article} I haven’t indulged yet, but I’m planning to tomorrow night!
Here in the PNW, summer has finally come to call, so I wanted to feature a couple of pieces from the art walk that are my favorite summer colors, blue and orange.
This piece is by William Ingham and is called “White Rhumbus Blue”, it looks just like the sky outside my kitchen window.

I love the warm colors and brush strokes on this piece from one of the participating artists, Margo Spellman {my neighbor}, the Collapse of the Colony…
