shades of blue and orange

September 14, 2010 By splendid 5 Comments

…into the Indian Summer

This cool blue set up has served me well through the summer. The ice bucket, is a treasure I begged a waiter to sell me at a restaurant in British Columbia because the color was so perfect. The glasses are “drinkers” from glassybaby. These vessels have a wider opening than their votives, making them very drink friendly.

I was thinking of storing them away as the summer came to a close…a pity, because I really like them, was my second thought.

But they did seem so, cool.

Then I saw something that warmed my heart.
A new drinker was added to the Glassybaby line — she is deep shade of curry and her name is Marie. Doesn’t she look great with the light blue drinkers? They go by Gina.

I had to go to the factory to take a closer look, and there I met Lucie – a zesty transparent tangerine drinker, who looks splendid with my beach glass blue drinkers (I don’t know them by name). This all, of course, reminds me of my sails around Sardegna, Italy this summer.

Hmmm..which do you think would best take us through the Indian Summer?

I can’t choose, help me!!

I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes….. the weather is definitely cooling, but I think with the warmth of orange, we can hold onto that sunshine feeling just a little longer.
OPI’s A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find is perfect for keeping a warm glow on the toes.

And for the fingers? These cocktail and dinner napkins from Caspari are a colorful and convenient way to keep things tidy.

The Louis Vuitton Foxtail Sunrise bag might help as well…

Ooh, Emily! That ice bucket is divine. So lustworthy. I would give my eye teeth for one (well almost, but you get the idea). You lucky thing. I have to confess the blue combination works best for me so a thumbs down to Marie. Give me Gina any day. Thanks for giving the heads-up – I may just look at their website now. Oh, and feel free to drop by my blog and say hi http://lifeonplanetbaby.blogspot.com J x

Your summer table is gorgeous. I love the new glassybaby color too! I have the blue drinking glasses – they were a gift sent to us a few years ago, but didn't know at the time they were glasses, so I put votive candles inside… oh well!
