roam

As spring break is upon us, many are travelling or preparing to travel. How splendid to have a change of scenery and take in the lands, the sounds, the trees, the people, the colors, the architecture, the customs, the markets, the smells, the tastes, and the indescribable feelings...at a different longitude and latitude.

The memories, bits and pieces we bring home from our travels enhance our everyday lives. Here are photos of some random, memorable meals while roaming....

A monkey broke into our jeep while on safari in east Africa. He's eating a sandwich from a boxed lunch. Breakfast on the Bosphorus, where east meets west.

A snack of roasted corn at the Blue Mosque in Turkey.

The end of lunch at the Red Capital Ranch, outside of Beijing. The tables are made of old doors, salvaged from hutongs. The view is of the Chinese countryside and a portion of the Great Wall.

May you have many memorable meals as you roam!
